No Peril, No Heartbreak
No villains, no grimness, no surprise loss. Just a warm day that needs saving and good people to save it.
Cozy Fantasy Where Magic Has A Mind Of Its Own
Warm, funny stories where nothing terrible happens. The Gadding Goose wanders into one gentle muddle after another, carrying a found family of magical oddballs and a goat who considers herself management. Come in. The kettle's on.
What You'll Find Here
No villains, no grimness, no surprise loss. Just a warm day that needs saving and good people to save it.
A wandering inn with opinions, a crew of lovable oddballs, and enchantments that are more useful than dangerous, usually.
The reading version of a cozy evening in a game where nothing can ever hurt you. Slow on purpose, gentle by design, and asking nothing of you but a cup of tea and a comfortable chair.
Start Here
Join the Letters and I will send you The Longest Day of the Year (And Then Some): a gentle Gadding Goose story you can read before bed without bracing for anything awful. After that, a letter from me turns up now and then with a little gossip from Wending, a peek at what I am writing, and first place in the queue when a new book opens its doors.
One free story. No spam. No rush. The kettle can wait while you decide.
The Comfort Contract
Every Ada Linfield world is allowed to get itself into a muddle. It simply will not punish you for caring.
Slow Enough To Breathe
Letters travel. Bread rises. Friendships steep. You can put the book down, come back tired, and still find your place.
Safe Enough To Settle In
There will be trouble worth solving, but no cruelty, no shock heartbreak, and no beloved character harmed for sport.
A Beautiful Mess
Enchantment complicates the day. People mend it together, usually with tea going cold and someone muttering at the furniture.
Coming August 2026
A wandering inn. A burned-out housekeeper. Three celebrations going sideways in a realm where the magic has far too much personality.
Book One
The Goose turns up beside a village wedding in spectacular trouble, and Etta only wanted a quiet life.
Book Two
A harvest festival, an unhelpful enchantment, and a town determined to out-stubborn the weather.
Book Three
The whole realm has gathered for the sky to show off. Naturally, the magic has other plans.
A Note From Ada
I write words, and I write worlds: warm ones, with found families, buildings that have opinions, and quirky heroines finding themselves. "Cozy" does not mean nothing happens, mind. There is always something going sideways. It just never turns grim, and none of the characters you love get hurt. You will have something to care about. You will never have to brace.
